Who
is Techni-Met?
Founded in 1995, Techni-Met, Inc. is a high value added manufacturer
of precision coated materials, specializing in the vacuum deposition
of inorganic materials (such as precious, refractory, non-magnetic metals,
alloys, and ceramics) onto flexible polymeric films. This type of vacuum
deposition process is called sputtering.
In February of 2008 Williams Advanced Materials (WAM), a subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials, acquired Techni-met. Techni-Met has been a long-standing customer of WAM, and has partnered on various product development efforts over the years helping to support Techni-Met’s growth. This higher level of synergy between WAM’s thin film materials and Techni-Met’s coating technology will foster new technological advancements.
Techni-Met is a dynamic
company with a capable staff in manufacturing,
R&D, and quality control. We create working solutions for our customer's
sputter deposition needs. Our high technology production line, developmental
line, and class 10,000-cleanroom inspection facility, allow us to produce
wide web, single or multi-layer sputtered coatings of inorganic films
onto various substrates.
Our inspection and converting processes both at the start, and end of
the production process, enables us to provide our customers with the
highest quality in sputtered materials. Through our associations with
Vitex and Gould, we are able to further our deposition and coating capabilities.
By combining these resources, Techni-Met is able to venture into organic
coating deposition and heighten our quality standards for use in display
applications.
